Recipe #40 Strawberry and Basil Martini

Messy, but OMG so good. Used sugar as couldn’t be bothered (and in the end too drunk!) with syrup.

The morning after there was alot of strawberry mush stuck to the worktop, but it was worth it.

Cocktail glasses and a shaker are essential!

Ingredients
3 strawberries, plus 1 thin slice of strawberry for garnish
3 basil leaves
1/2 ounce Simple Syrup Ice
1 ounce gin, preferably Tanqueray No. Ten
1 ounce vodka
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice

Method
In a cocktail shaker, muddle the strawberries with the basil leaves and Simple Syrup. Add ice and the remaining ingredients and shake well. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with the strawberry slice.
