Eating out – Victor Hugo

I’d never been to Victor Hugo before, but we thought we’d pop in one day when we were in Edinburgh. They are a fantastic deli, and do sandwiches and a limited hot food at lunchtime.

Great coffee and an interesting selection of soft drinks – I had ginger beer!

The hot food was fantastic – I had the mushroom lasagne, which was delicious.

The seating was a bit cramped, and it was made worse by being so busy. But for a quick lunch it was fine. The prices were as you would expect for a well-known inner city deli – about £5 for a good portion of lasagne, no side (rather inelegantly presented).

Overall, a nice treat at lunch time.
