When it’s done it is glorious, and SO much better than the shop bought stuff.
This year we’re making lemon (limon in Italian) and lime (limone verde) flavours. At some point we’ll start on orange flavour (called aranciacello).
Step 1 – infuse
7 lemons (or 14 limes)
1 litre vodka
Grate the zest from the fruit. Squeeze the juice. Mix both in a large container – we use large jars – with the vodka. Leave to infuse for at least 8 days.
