Leftover chilli pasties

We had some leftover chilli from the other night. Seeing it was so super tasty it was a great candidate for a leftovers treat. Also, I’m trying to clear out the freezer and there were a couple packs of frozen pastry in there. So chilli pies it was!

The pack of pastry took a few hours to defrost. I rolled it out on a floured surface to 2-3mm thick, then cut in to four large pieces.
In the centre of each piece I put a healthy portion of leftover chilli. Then pulled up opposing edges and crimped them together, making sure the bottom edges are crimped up to stop dribbles.
I placed the four pies on a greased baking tray and brushed the tops with milk (fiddly and not essential!).
They were cooked for about 30 minutes at 180 degrees Centigrade.

Pastry rocks.
