Wedding cake

Yesterday was a day of weddings. Two couples I knew were getting married and I was blessed to be able to see Richard and Rachael tie the knot. Some very sincere vows, and a little sniffling, followed by the traditional revelry.

And cake.

But first, dinner at the local Toby Carvery. GREAT idea! Lots of food and something everyone could eat. And enough for every appetite.

And cake. This wedding cake was a fruit cake. A delicious, moist fruit cake. With marzipan and icing, and beautifully decorated with yellow flowers. Tasted great too. And perfect with a glass of bubbly.

A good start for Mr and Mrs MacKenzie!
