The pear and haggis was excellent.
The flavours worked so well together. The pear was soft and delicious, but firm and the skin kept it all together.
The Atholl brose dressing was yummy, if a little runny.
The haggis wrapped in chicken and bacon was also great!
The meat kept the moisture in the haggis, and you really cannot go wrong with bacon!
It was served with neeps (swede, aka rutabaga) and tatties – both mashed, of course.
It needed a sauce if you asked me – something to think about for next year…
