The Tiki Bar has a simple concept – good and tasty cocktails, made from fresh ingredients, in funky and chilled atmosphere. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very happy to explain about the ingredients in the mix. I was particularly pleased to see them creating some of the homemade syrups and ingredients, and it’s inspired me to do the same.
The menu is utterly tempting, and we started with the Glasvegas Kiss – one to share (pictured right)! In true Glasgow fashion it was bright orange, and contained Irn Bru syrup. Between us, we also tried:
- Missionary’s Downfall
- Coconut Grenade
- Pina Colada
- Rum Bongo (which tastes just like the fruit juice Um Bongo!)
- Gin & Juice
A most excellent way to spend the afternoon, and highly recommended.
