Amaretto cupcakes

These cupcakes were kindly made by my colleague, Jill, for her own birthday! She is a very good baker and these cupcakes did not disappoint.

The cupcakes themselves were great – a light a full-bodied texture. The icing was also very tasty. And the nod to Amaretto was in the glaze on top of the cake before icing – Amaretto and sugar, melted together, and applied liberally. The cupcakes were topped with almonds.
