Eating out: Vespbar

I loved Vespbar, Drury Street, Glasgow. It seems to be a new bar come eatery – perhaps opening at the end of 2011? It’s a quirky wee place, with funky theatre-style folding chairs, Formica tables and an old fashioned juke box. The staff are friendly and helpful and it has a great atmosphere.

The menu is good too, and includes pizza by the metre! The food is Italian style for the most part, and what we had was GOP and well priced: delicious bruschetta, loaded with mozzarella cheese; fiery olives; and chips.

Good coffee. Birra Moretti. One could be mistaken for believing a little bit of Italy had arrived in Central Glasgow…
