Eating out: Keracher’s, Perth

Another excellent meal at Keracher’s in Perth.

~~~
Fresh langoustine bisque served
with Shetland scallops and saffron Rouille
~~~
Duo of sea bass and monkfish served
on hot roast salmon crushed potatoes
with colloped greens and white wine butter sauce
~~~
Isle of Mull cheddar,Dunsyre blue and Clava brie served
with Scottish oatcakes and biscuits, garnished with grapes and celery,
with Chef’s spiced plum chutney
~~~

Highlights:

  • the lobster bisque to start: absolutely scrumptious, and served with Shetland scallops
  • Santa Ema wine: this amused me tremendously; it’s like they knew Em was coming!
  • the chutney with the cheeseboard: a good clove flavour, very warming

Turns out the main I chose was one I’d had before! It looked just as tempting this time and I picked it again without realising. The white wine butter sauce was delicious, and the two fish went really well togheter. And the salmon crushed potaotes were a super-fishy compliment.
