A warming breakfast was much needed after a night in our (relatively!) snug kåta at Comrie Croft. My menu was a simple one: coffee and eggs.
Coffee was espresso, made using our sturdy espresso pot. It does a wee coffee for about four. It’s pretty cheap and robust, and doesn’t take to spurting like the expensive pot! We were using the gas stove, because the wood-burning stove took a wee bit of warming up!
After a wee caffeine rush I made scrambled eggs with freshly-laid eggs, courtesy of the Best Man (did I mention it was a stag weekend). The eggs were in two sizes: wee tough ones with mostly yoke inside, and massive ones too. I scrambled them in my large frying pan (on the gas stove again) and served up on a couple of slices of Tiger bread, and topped with Reggae Reggae sauce (still on that bandwagon!).
