After making the dough from scratch we had alot of fun making up the pizzas!
The first problem was that we had to make sure the pizza bases fitted in the oiled trays – again, I was taking Jamie Oliver’s advice about how to cook up our pizzas. Anyway, we had alot of dough, and had the capacity to make alot of pizza – enough to make 5 or 6 A4-sized pizzas. Just not quite enough trays! Maybe one day we’ll get a proper granite pizza stone – pizza’ll cook quicker and better.
Anyway, they all cooked well (7-10 minutes in the top of the oven, more on the lower racks) and all tasted awesome. We had a real mix of toppings, on a whole bunch of different sizes of pizzas, including:
- sliced mushrooms
- sliced ham
- sliced smoked sausage
- cherry tomatoes
- goat’s cheese
- grated cheddar cheese
Family fun for everyone – we all got to do our own toppings!
