A hearty Sunday breakfast: eggy bread with bacon and sausages

Sundays are an excuse for a fabulous breakfast. A long, luxurious breakfast. This weekend we made eggy bread (aka French toast; a favourite of our house guests, and of ours!) and served it up with various breakfast meats.

I like my eggy bread with Maple syrup these days – when I have it with bacon at least. This Sunday we also had sausages, which works with the eggy bread and Maple syrup too.

However, back in the day I was a big fan of tomato ketchup with my eggy bread. It’s still a firm favourite; they complement one another very well.
