Coffee at Tim Horton’s: iced capp and Tim Bits

So we’re in Canada and that means a trip to Tim Horton’s! The Tim Horton’s story is a unique one: a hockey star who starts up a coffee shop chain that turns in to a national phenomenon!

I had a skinny iced cappuccino, which was just the thing on a hot Summer day. I don’t know if they do iced drinks with skimmed milk in the UK, and I always assumed they don’t. But I should check, because they are good.

We also got the obligatory box of Timbits: they are pretty much the wee bits out the middle of dough rings! They come in a surprising variety of flavours, and we sampled:

  • old fashioned, which are flavoured with nutmeg
  • glazed chocolate bits
  • raspberry bits
  • regular glazed
  • strawberry filled bits, with powdered sugar on outside

Timbits are pretty awesome.
