“Poutine for lunch!” That was the rallying cry that got the boys out of bed this morning! Having had a few mouthfuls the other night, I was ready for some serious poutine action at the nearby Smoke’s Poutinerie. I went for pulled pork poutine – pulled pork is another thing I’ve never had. And it was absolutely scrum-didili-umptious! The fries are nice – hand cut, or as good as. And the pulled pork sauce was better than regular gravy. The cheese curds are growing on me – the are best when they are warm and gooey.
If I can find cheese curds in the UK, or the right kind of milk to make my own, I’m gonna have to give it a shot.
