Sushi takeout for lunch (and it was better than one might have thought!)

Well, after a wonderful trip to Canada with our lovely friends, including some fabulous food and seeing some great sights, it was time to depart. We went via Niagara, of course – a sight to be seen! It really is magnificent, and best seen from the Canadian side, if you ask me!

We decided to cross at Niagara because they’re used to tourists, and we thought it’d be quicker to cross – and it was. But there was a queue across the bridge, so we thought a bite to eat might pass the time. We’ve been interested to note that sushi is very popular in North America, and we both love sushi, so we thought we’d try that for takeout in the hope of not being a hit more healthy! I had some rolls filled with crab sticks, avocado and cucumber, and prawn nigiri. It came with the obligatory soy sauce, pickled ginger and wasabi on the side. All much more tasty than I thought it would be, considering it was fast food at a major tourist attraction!
