As well as an improvised tiramisu I whipped up some dips the other night before heading out to a hafla in the village. Suggestions for what I could whip up from what we had in the house included tzatiki and hummus – both are easy to make and only took a few minutes. They were consumed with vegetable crudites and crisps for dipping.

Hummus
Mix with a handblender until smooth: one can chickpeas, one tbsp tahini*, the juice of one lemon and one** clove of garlic (crushed).
*To make this a slimming friendly recipe, use fat free yoghurt instead of tahini.
**I always use more garlic – two large cloves in this case! It was very, very garlicky.

Tzatiki
I’m sure there’s a differnece between raita and tzatiki, but I’m not sure what it is!
Mix togheter:
- 1/2 a cucumber, grated and excess juice squeezed out
- 250g fat free Greek yoghurt
- 1 tsp mint sauce

I love using tzatsiki and hummus as a standby “munchies” snack. They’re really quick to put together in a hurry! Always glad to find another slimming world blogger!
